“What peaceful hours I once enjoyed!
How sweet their memory still.”
There is no doubt in it that beautiful and historical places are our cultural heritage. In fact such places are a window to our splendid past. It is certainly a wonderful experience to visit such places. These visits add a lot to our knowledge. When we visit such places, we come to know the skill and the ability of the past. Sometimes such visits tell us stories better and more interesting than the books on history.
“The more you know, the more you realize,
You know nothing.”
In this modern age, we remain busy day and night like a machine and now the people have become dull in soul and drab in spirit. Our minds are all the time pre-occupied by the worries and every day’s responsibilities. They have confined themselves to the small stinging nooks of the offices. They fed their big bellies but do nothing for their vexed souls. Life has become flat, boring and monotonous for them. They have no spare time to enjoy the beauty of balmy nature. W.H.Davies said:
“What is this life if it is full of care?
We have no time to stand and stare.”
We should realize the fact that life should be enjoyed with all its charms and pleasures. We should spare some time to enjoy the beauty of nature. We should also spare some time for pleasure and recreation.
“If we rest, we rust; if we walk, we shine.”
“What makes life dreary, is the want of motive.”
I have visited many places, but the place I like most is to visit to a ……………. I have not visited any …………… before. Sometimes such places tell us stories better than the books on history. A visit to a ……….. Is always valuable for the students. Therefore such beautiful and wonderful places should be visited.
“All history is the biography of great men.”
Last Sunday, we decided to go for outing. We planned to visit ………… because we had not seen not before. So, we agreed that this wonderful and beautiful place should be visited. The ………….. Is situated at ………. Near …………. . We started preparing for this visit. After ………., we reached there by bus. We were much excited. The magnificent and beautiful ……………. Was before our eyes. The scenery of beautiful ………. Can be seen from some distance. The weather was very pleasant. The scenery was very charming and attractive.
“A thing of beauty is a joy forever.”
We could see small beautiful parks on both sides of the road covered with shrubs and greenery. The parks were full of blooming flowers all around. It was a very attractive and charming sight. The greenery looked so beautiful as someone had spread the green sheet.
As Luther Burbank said:
“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful.”
There are also some cool shady trees. Many birds were sitting in the twigs of these trees. The flowers were presenting a colorful sight. In such an attractive and pleasant atmosphere, I began to sing the beautiful verses of Keats:
“Ah. Happy happy bough that cannot shed your leaves, Nor ever bid the spring adieu.”
We found a thick fog spreading before us. Suddenly a thin sheet of mist was seen floating in front of us.
We come to know that it was drizzling. When it was raining, the scene was very charming. We had reached our hotel, where we stayed. The sweet music was produced by falling the drops of rain on the leaves of trees. When the sun come out after the stoppage of the rain, a pure light of the rays of sun spread everywhere and filled the hearts of the people with peace and happiness.
As it is well said:
“Happy is the man who enjoys the beauty of nature in his life.”
I was much surprised to see big hotels, shops and houses all around. Large crowds of men, women and children were seen strolling here and there. The whole place was crowded with the people.
“The places are indeed great enclosing the great people.”
We had a view of this wonderful place. It was a very charming sight. The cool breeze and the deep blue sky had a magical effect on us. At about 5:30pm, we sat under a shady tree. My mother spread the table cloth on the ground and put our things on it. My mother had prepared many tasty dishes. We took our meal and had some rest. Then, we played cricket in a grassy park. My elder brother told some interesting jokes. We sang together some national and film songs. It was a source of great pleasure and amusement.
As it is well said:
“Mingle your cares with pleasure now and then.”
In the evening. We packed our belonging and made our way home. Our hearts were saturated with pleasure.
In short, it was a very enjoyable and forgettable journey and its memories still fresh in our minds. Our minds were full of great thoughts, when we left this place.
It is well said:
