“Each nation feels superior to other nations. That breeds patriotism and wars.”
The word Patriotism is derived from the Latin word Patria, one’s country. Patriotism is a noble sentiment and a natural virtue. The man who lacks it, has a dead soul. It is a natural and fundamental passion of every person to have deep love and respect for his country. It brings unity and discipline in a nation.
“Patriotism is the virtue of viscous.”
Man is a social being. It is hard for him to breathe in isolation. Patriotism trains the people to tolerate one another and sacrifice for the country. With a exception of few traitors, every person loves his place and his people.
As it is well said:
“Patriotism is the last refuge of scoundrel.”
I love Pakistan. My love for my homeland is not merely a showpiece. It is rational logical and deep rooted. It is in my blood. Pakistan is not just a piece of land to me. It is an embodiment of the aspirations and the hopes of my nation.
“Our country is that spot to which our heart is bound.”
I love Pakistan because it is the land of my ancestors. Every inch of this soil is scented with their sweat and blood. Their bones are buried here. It is my past, my present and my future. I am nothing without my past and without my country.
“Pakistan is my pride, my identity and my everything.”
Pakistan is an ideological state. There is only one country which is founded in the name of Islam in the world. It is considered a fortress of Islam. It came into being after countless sacrifices of our forefathers on the 14th August 1947, under the tireless and selfless leadership of the Quid-e-Azam.
“Nationalism is an infantile disease. It is the measles of mankind.”
The People of Pakistan are a peace loving nation. They believe in humanity, equality, brotherhood and mutual love. They always give moral and political sport of the Muslim of the world. I am proud the people of Pakistan who have proved themselves in all spheres and countries. The people of Pakistan are brave, hopeful and strong patriotism.
“Dissent is the highest form of Patriotism.”
Pakistan is dear to me for its unique geographical position. It is a land of beautiful valley, high Mountains, mighty rivers, grand seaports and splendid roads. The scenic beauty of its meadows pastures and agriculture field are worth seeing.
Lord Byron said:
“Oh God! It is goodly sight to see what heaven heath done for this delicious land.”
I love Pakistan for its natural resources. Its land is also enrich with a lot of natural resources like coal, gas, salt, soil which yield crops throughout the year. Its fruits are sweet and unique in taste.
“I think patriotism is like charity-it begins at Home.”
I am greatly impressed by the progress in the field of science and technology. The remarkable missile and nuclear research programme has made Pakistan a sublime state. It is due to the sincere and tireless efforts of the Pakistan like Dr. Abdul Qadir Khan that Pakistan is the seventh Atomic Power of the World. I am really proud of it. Above all, I love Pakistan for the bright future that is sure to come.
“I only regret that I have but one life to loss for my country.”
I conclude that I love Pakistan my heart and soul because it is an abode of my social, cultural and religion values. But my patriotism is neither narrow nor build. I know if I do wrong to my country, I shall do wrong to myself I shall, therefore, live for Pakistan and die for Pakistan.
“I loved you yesterday….
